Youth Activities

We run a variety of youth activities as part of our partnership with our local police team. We have recently hosted Ozbox for a 6 week period, and we held dance mat sessions during the February half term.

Ozbox
Ozbox is a youth fitness activity supported by the Derbyshire Police Authority and was developed primarily as a way to engage young people involved in crime or anti-social behaviour, though participants from all family, school groups and socio-economic backgrounds are encouraged to take part and be involved in fitness and circuit training, along with gaining physical and personal discipline.
Ozbox ran at the church for 6 weeks from Wednesday 14th January.
Dance Mats
The Chesterfield School Sport Partnership offered the church the use of their Cyber Coach dance mat system during holidays to help provide activities for young people in the area. A variety of sessions were run covering a wide age range. The sessions were run by volunteers from the church, and were supported and advertised by the police.
