Missionary Focus

‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…’ (Matthew 28:19).

We take seriously the Biblical mandate to go into all the world and see this as a particular calling for us as a Church.  Not all of us will be called to go, but we have a responsibility to support those who are.  We encourage members to consider how they should respond to world mission.  We give financial and prayer support to a number of our own members who have gone out into the UK and other countries.  Our missionary team, led by Steve Whiteley, keep us up to date with missionary matters.

WEC supports two families at present, the Boothby's in Papua New Guinea, and the Hopkins in Nairobi, Kenya.

Other people supported by our fellowship include:

Nikki Uglow
who is working with her husband Chris with Oriel Ministries putting together a schools band ministry serving the area around Plymouth and the South West. Nikki has spent the last 4 years as part of Collective South West, working with the Innervation Trust.

Other links

As a church we have links in other countries through the work of people within the leadership and congregation.  A developing link for us, through our pastor Simon Robinson, is with supporting pastors and churches in Burma and Cambodia.
